The Foothills Trail system, which is on land managed by the Bureau of Land Management and the City of Challis, includes approximately 25 miles of non-motorized single track, made up of 34 separate trails, and an additional 11 miles of multi-use (motorized allowed) single track. The trail system has been built and is maintained primarily by a dedicated group of community trail users.
Up to date trail information is available online on the Trail Forks platform. Trail maps are also provided at kiosks at the Foothills trail heads. Another great resource is trails.Idaho.gov, Idaho Department of Recreation’s mapping application which contains current information for trails across the state of Idaho.
